Cranberry Hibiscus

A stunning deep red foliage (and stemmed) plant from Africa. Growing to 4’ tall and 30” wide, its showy leaves are maple-like and the 2” flowers, borne in the leaf axils, are a dark velvet-like burgundy. Grows quickly to 4-5’ tall. Great back of the border plant adds depth with its dark foliage. ‘Roselle’ should be cut to the ground before winter. Bloom time in Houston is normally late fall. May come back from the roots if our winter is mild.
